Suspension 5 ml
(1 teaspoonful) twice daily with food
Suspension 10 ml
(2 teaspoonfuls) twice daily with food
1 tablet or 25 ml suspension
(5 teaspoonfuls) twice daily with food

Nitazoxanide is highly bound to plasma protein (>99.9%). Therefore, caution should be used when administering Nitazoxanide concurrently with other highly plasma protein-bound drugs with narrow therapeutic indices.
Nitazoxanide is contraindicated in patients with a prior hypersensitivity to Nitazoxanide or any other ingredient in this formulations.
Nitazoxanide is generally well tolerated. However abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting and headache have been reported rarely.
Pregnancy Category B: This drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
Nursing Mothers: It is not known whether Nitazoxanide is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Nitazoxanide is administered to a nursing woman.
Information on Nitazoxanide overdosage is not available. Single oral doses of up to 4,000 mg Nitazoxanide have been administered to healthy adult volunteers without significant adverse effects. In the event of overdose, gastric lavage may be performed. Patients should be carefully observed and given symptomatic and supportive treatment.
· Store in cool and dry place, protect from light.· Keep out of reach of children· Once reconstituted, suspension should be used within 7 days.
