Tiemonium Methylsulphate is an antispasmodic drug. It reduces muscle spasms of the intestine, biliary system, uterus & urinary bladder. It is indicated for the pain in gastrointestinal, biliary, urinary and gynaecological disease such as gastroenteritis, diarrhea, dysentery, biliary colic, ,enterocolitis, cholecystytis, colonopathyes, mild cystitis, & spasmodic dysmenorrhea.
Emogin Tablet: Recommended oral dose of Tiemonium Methylsulphate tablet is 2-6 tablets (100-300 mg) daily in divided doses.
Tiemonium Methylsulphate should not be used with other drugs without prior consult of a registered physician to avoid possible drug interaction.
Tiemonium Methylsulphate should not be used in Glaucoma or where acute pain of eyeball with vision disturbance was found. Also this drug should not be used in patients with the disorder of prostate or urinary bladder.
Side effect with the use of Tiemonium Methylsulphate is very rare.
Pregnancy: Tiemonium Methylsulphate tablet may be used in pregnancy only if it is clearly needed by the assessment of risk benefit ratio.
Lactation: The use of this drug is not recommended during lactation.
It should be given cautiously to patients with disorders of the prostate, serious disease of kidney or liver, cardiac disorder, thyroid disorder, chronic bronchitis and certain gastrointestinal diseases. The risks of visual disturbances can make it dangerous to drive or use machines.
There is not available data regarding the overdose of Tiemonium Methylsulphate.
